    Quilt shops in Tulsa, Ok.??

I am fortunate enough to go to see and take care of 2 of my grandchildren in Tulsa for a week and would like to know if anyone knows of some fun quilt shops in that area. DGC will be in school all day so that leaves me some free time. My son will be there but works at night and he will be able to take me if I get some quilt shop locations. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I wish I could help. We used to live close to Tulsa, but I wasn't a quilter then. I was at a model airplane contest in Tulsa last year and a group of flyer's wives went to several quilt shops while their husbands flew, so there must be some good ones there. (They didn't realize I might be interested until they returned, though I was promised that I would be included if they go during this year's contest.)

Guess you may have to google if no one locally is reading threads here today...but what fun, grandkids and new quilt stores!!

Yes I live in Tulsa. The largest Quilt Shop is called The Quilt Sampler at 61st and Sheridan. There is another nice smaller one called The Owl and Drum at 2810 east 15th street. A third interesting place is Ellen Medlock Studio at 10032 South Sheridan-Ellen designs her own fabrics for quilts and purses and also sells handbag hardware. In a neighboring town called Sand Springs, there is a nice local shop called The Little Quilt Shop on the main town square.
Welcome to Tulsa and don't hesitate to PM me if you have other questions!
If you go to The Quilt Sampler be sure to work your way to the very back of the shop to the tables and shelves where they have the sale fabrics!!!

Oh and Tulsa does have the chain stores like Michaels, Joanne Fabrics, Hancocks and Hobby Lobby if you don't have them locally and want to check them out too!😄

Thank you Jeanne S. for all of the information on the quilt shops. I think I will write the names and addresses down and have my son drive me around (I am sure he won't mind!!!!) He is a policeman so he probably knows most of the addresses. He and his family just moved to Bixby but I think that must be very close to Tulsa. I appreciate your information and I knew someone on this QB would help me out which is so appreciated. Not going until first week of March but I want to be prepared. I am sooooo excited.
