I've googled quilt shops in NY. My husband is attending the luthiers' expo up there--tomorrow--and this is a very, very last minute consideration for me to along also.
Can any of you recommend fabric stores and quilt shops worth venturing into? I have to do something while hubby spends hours and hours looking at and learning how to build guitars! If there's not much , I won't go.

There are loads of cute shops in Woodstock but no quilt shops that I am aware of. However, I haven't been down to Woodstock for a couple of years. You will definitely have fun looking in all the artsy shops though. Tons of cute, unique things. There is a shop in Hudson called Fabrications which isn't too far away and there is Foofsique in Chatham but that is across the river and may be further than you want to drive.
