I was in line today at Whole Foods getting some remedies for this nasty cold I have. In front of me was a man with a little girl about 4 years old, who was wrapped in a quilt, so I just had to make a comment.

"That's a very pretty quilt you have." and her eyes grew wide, she sat straight up and told me, "Grammie gave it to me for Christmas and its the best present ever.", She then showed me some of the blocks and proudly presented the stitching design and label on it.

Her dad said she takes it everywhere except into the bath with her and has not put it down since she got it.

That Grammie must be beaming with joy knowing how well such a young girl loves and appreciates what she did.

That is my first grandchild at 3 months old, Miss Rowan Lee, and I just love the amused look on her face. She is going to be a prankster like her dad.

Thanks for the comment!

Love that story! I hope that my granddaughters appreciate their quilts half so much!
