Default quilt for trombone player

I need some inspirational ideas for a quilt for a trombone player who wants his instrument highlighted. Have not found ANY fabric with just the brass family, or the trombone featured. Would like to get hold of a pattern, but haven't had success in that area either. Any ideas out there??

D you have any chance you have access to an embroidery machine? You could embroider some patches.

You could do a central panel of an appliqué trombone. Google drawing of trombones. You can take the print to a printing place (Staples, Kinkos) and have a large one made. Then use fabric with musical notes and instruments to make blocks to go around the panel.

If you don't want to applique, you can print a coloring sheet of the instruments, draw them on fabric, color with pencils, then paint over the pencil with fabric medium. Once it is dried, it can be washed on gentle cycle.
