If you could make any quilt for yourself, which one would it be, type of fabric and color.

Remember this would be for just you. So dream on.

What do you mean, IF YOU COULD...?

Why can't we?

I've made several quilts for myself. I'm making one for myself now, a red Chimneysweep, all hand quilted. They are a joy to make AND a joy to have.

I enjoy them on so many levels. I love working on the fabrics that I love. And when it's finished, I love looking at the qiilt and remembering where I bought the fabrics and when I sewed the blocks, sometimes with friends. So it's not just a quilt, it's a memory album. And that's priceless.

Soft, lightweight with Brights, Black, Black & white prints, Circles and just big enough to wrap up in on the couch when watching the twilight series.
Not that I like vampires but i do like the music & love stories.

Mine will be made out of Sunflower prints that I have been collecting for a couple of years. I have also had many who have sent me Sunflower prints too. It seems like my quilt keeps getting put on the back burner. I have all the blocks cut out but can't seem to find the time to sew it together.

If it was just for me, I'd do just batiks. Doesn't matter what pattern, but would probably be something difficult and time-consuming. Since batiks are expensive and I don't have enough time to spend on just one quilt, it probably won't happen :-)
