Does anyone have any ideas to make "quilted" ishy Christmas cards?

I make my Christmas cards and other occasions with paper pieced fronts. Here are a few I have done in the past. I make the pictures so they fit inside the 2" cut out I make with a paper cutting stamper that I bought at Michaels and print the greetings on card stock before I cut out the hole.


This is one I made for Thanksgiving dinner several years ago

I use this one for quick notes

This is one of the Christmas cards, I printed the picture frame and then cut out the picture area with an exact knife.

I made over 20 quilted postcards last year for my friends who donated fabric to me, they are such fun to make :D

i've never done quilted postcards, so i don't know this: after so much work, do you really put them in the mail and send them anywhere? i think they would suffer from traveling. am i misunderstanding how it works?

I read the tute and it said to add a 39 cent stamp so that was a long time ago LOL

I have done a few and really enjoyed the process. When it was time to mail, I went to the post office and asked to have the postcard hand canceled. I paid the amount for a letter and off the fabric postcard went in the mail.
