Quilters in or around Fruitland Park, Florida??

    Hello--

I have a friend who lives in Fruitland Park, Florida. She is a newer quilter and looking for others who quilt in her area. Suggestions for quilt shops and a guild for her to visit would be great too.

Feel free to PM me if you want.

    Thanks!!!
    Carrie

My son lives in Fruitland park, there is an active quilting group in the Villages. They even have a quilt show. A few of them vacation/ visit up here & bring/ send me quilts to quilt for them. My son & daughter in law both know some of the ladies & always visits the shows, activities. He ( my son) works at World of Beers there, tell her to stop in, ask for Ben, he will be able to tell her how to find them.

There is a really nice quilt shop in Palatka called Miss Ds, it is on St. Johns Ave. in the downtown area. They have blocks of the month, and other classes going too. I signed up to do a class that you cut a sweatshirt and make a jacket out of it. It is Feb. 18th. It is called Reverse Applique. ( WWW.MissDsQuilts.com email: MissD@missdsquilts.com) 305 St. Johns Ave. Palatka, FL 32177 386-385-5678 Very Nice people to help you and a nice assortment of fabric. I hope this helps your friend.

I would use Google to find LQS and if any guilds are in the area. That is what I did when I moved a year and a half ago.
A Good Friend, like an old quilt, is both a Treasure and a Comfort
