I use the little sandpaper pads. Just be careful where you place them as they can obstruct the lines. I have 6 on the 24inch ruler and have a weak left wrist since op but have no problem. What height are you working at and are you standing or sitting. These will also make a difference.

I've tried the sandpaper and Invisigrip with no luck.

I used dots of hot glue on the corners of my rulers until I got the Creative Grids.
