I happened on a real deal last night on Craigslist.A treadle machine in really good shape for $125. I couldn't believe it. We drove to Galveston in the middle of the night to bring my new(old) gal home. I felt like a thief. but she seems to be in xcellant shape for a girl her age. I am naming her Tante Meta after my great aunt who made quilts by hand all her life. I was fortunate enough to recieve the last quilt she made. I will post a pic when I get her situated.

Oh lucky you I had to leave a couple of them behind while back when I lost my house to swapping out trialers long story. I left them to the local neighborhood scrapper even told him what they were and how to sell em. Had 3 of them one was a white and 2 singers. I sure wish i had my old ladies back. am glad you found one in memory of your aunt Tante Meta
