I quilt for Home of the Brave quilts. In the past, Quilts of Valor. Also, I quilt every Tuesday with a church group. We make quilts for kids in shelters.

Our church has done a few and the money goes to providing dinners for people who don't have much $$.

Members of my guild donate quilts to Project Linus, Hope Pregnancy Center (a program to assist teen moms), Quilts of Valor, and Peaceable Kingdom Retreat for Children (a camp for special needs kids). We also donate non-perishable food, toiletries, and paper goods to our local Ronald McDonald House which allows us to use a conference room for Board meetings.

I make quilts for Prayers and Squares. There are chapters Nationwide. They are tied quilts for people with varying adversities. Each Knot is tied with a prayer for the person receiving it. Look up Prayers and Squares on the internet and you will find the story of how this group got started.

My quilt guild makes quilts for local hospice. For four years each member makes a quilt to give to someone suffering in hospice. There is nothing more satisfying than to give a quilt to someone who needs something beautiful at the end of their life.

Oops, I forgot Blankies for Grownups (adults in nursing homes or undergoing chemotherapy or dialysis).

My DM's group has been making lap robes, cancer hats, gowns, catheter bags, walker bags, pillows(for breast cancer patients) and anything else a Hospice patient might need for over 20+ yrs with about 12 memebers ranging in age from 50-87 yr.s young. My two sisters & I have joined the band wagon for the last few years. This group takes care of Pinellas county in FL. What an amazing group of ladies.
