    Question Quilting"Dear Jane"

    I finally finished DJ top . Now how would you quilt it I dont think by hand will work for me and LA lady has never quilted a DJ . Can anyone help? Thank You , Karen

    how about Baptist Fans? that is traditional and i think that something similar can be done with LA

    What about just shadow quilting - so you don't lose any of the blocks ?

    What is a baptist fan ,could you explain . Is it like a dresden plate? I'm having a Senior moment today

    I agree on the Baptist fans if you really don't want to hand quilt..If I was the one making it, I would personally hand quilt it

    Well I've had 3 people refuse to LA the quilt . I think it might be to thick in place to get a needle through..... Your thoughts , Please

    I'd use my computized baptist fan. Yeah, lots of seams. It would take a long time, but just slow the machine down. However, the thick seams could cause an ocassional skipped stitch, but nothing major IMHO.

    Would it be better if I hand quilted it? Wondering if I can get it hand quilted ; due to many thickness of fabric in the blocks .Has anyone had problems with hand quilting? top is all hand done...Whew what a job ,had fun though. Tnx for your input.

    This is the back of a Dear Jane quilt. You can see that she kept it pretty simple. I hope to make one this year. How did you chose your fabrics and colors?
