I would love to have others to quilt with. I don't get out much so the company would be nice.I thought I would join the quiters at the senior center but found out all they do is make quilts at home for organizations and then only get together to tie quilts.
Sharing time is fun if doing things of interest.

You should go and try it out ... maybe you will make a friend there that you can meet with on the side to share with!

My DD and I quilt together. It's great because she is very creative(gets it from DH)so I can get ideas from her.

Is there any quilters in Victoria "Aussie land" - & in the Lilydale area or vicinty, that would like to start a smallish group....doesn't have to be big - there's only me -this little ol lone quilter & another would be fun.

So is anyone in the area of Lilydale Victoria (Aussie Land) interested in this??

Cheers

I'm the only real quilter in the family. But, my two sisters and mom want to learn, and we've been getting together every two months. I'm the only one who has even looked at what they are working on. I've usually finished what I was working on, and started a new project or two.

I would like to quilt with my Mom, but it would drive my DH nuts!

I suppose it is just me, except that I teach a class of girls and ladies that have disabilities. It is great fun to encourage them to join in on class projects and other things. Their quilting may not be great, but it is very much enjoyed and I cannot tell you how therapeutic it is.
