I have been looking at machine quilting frames, boy they cost more than the machine. I just saw a kit for $175.00 . It says you have to but the tracks. Anyone tried one, if so what else do you need to buy. I think I should look for a plan to make my own. DH is pretty handy.

it needs to be sturdy/stable. if there is any vibration or wobble, it can wreak havoc with the sewing process.

Last Oct cjk posted on this board, a tutorial for the one she made. It looks sturdy and not too hard to build. I would give you a link but I don't know how.

I bought the CD of plans to make one for 20.00. Just internet search and you should find it. The materials will run you 200 to 300.00 but it is alot sturdier than some of those you buy.
