Someone gave a tip about using 3" calculator paper to paper piece on, when you have scraps just sew on the paper and keep rolling as you sew, well all I could find was 2" ones, I worked on them for awhile, then the other day I bought some fabric remmants from Walmarts and when I went to take the paper off that they are rolled up in, I measured the paper 3" so I carefully removed it and after I have a collection of them, lookout scraps here I come!!!

Since I have arthritis and carpal tunnel in both hands I have difficulty holding my cutting rulers still when using my rotary cutter. I decided to use three 20 oz. bottles of water for weights. I set them on the ruler while cutting. They work great and I can pick them up easily without pain.

Measure twice cut once! ALWAYS double check your measurements! I still have to learn this on occasions! LOL

I use the sticks that are making kabobs instead of chopsticks. The point is already on them. I broke it in half and found that end was not good --- so I wrapped it in blue painters tape and left an end out. It doesn't roll off my table now!

Someone here mentioned using the putty like stuff that you use to hang pictures to hold your seam ripper onto your sewing machine. It works great AND I found that it holds that screwy little thing that I have to use to unscrew my foot.

And I'm weird about taking my favorite soap with me when I travel....I wrap it in a coffee filter then put in baggie....
I'll use them the next time I do windows. I do use them for covering dishes in the microwave and they are cheaper than paper towels.
