I've read several posts about various quilting magazines, but which one(s) do you all suggest either subscribing to, or going to pick up. Just wondering.

I like a lot of them, but if i could only get one it would be American Patchwork and quilting.. they seem to have the most quilts that appeal to me in them. I also like Fons and Porters, and McCalls. Quick Quilts is great for fast or small projects.

I love Quiltmaker, I have been getting it for 26 years. Do not waste your money on Quilters Newsletter, after the same amount of time with them I am cancelling my subscription.

I've wanted to ask this question too. Which magazine on the market has more patterns in it? Contemporary type patterns vs. traditional? I'd like to subscribe to a magazine that's slanted more towards contemporary than traditional.

I really like McCall's and Quilt. I also subscribe to Quilter's World online edition. It's cheaper and I don't have to store the magazines!

Has anyone read Alex Anderson/Ricky Timms new magazine? I browsed through it. I wasn't impressed. Lots of words but really didn't say anything type of articles.

With so much free information and so many free patterns on the internet, I don't get many quilt magazines anymore.

I totally agree. But I'm tired of reading hunting magazines in the bathroom.... :)
