Just passing along a tip - I'm a hand quilter and sometimes have difficulty finding motifs, especially if I want some along a certain theme. Try doing a search for "coloring pages", with whatever you're looking for. The coloring pages are simple line drawings that can be enlarged/shrunk to meet your needs. I recently did a beach-themed quilt - ever tried to find quilting motifs of seahorses or starfish? The coloring pages saved me!

How do you transfer them to the cloth? I have thought about this but lack creativity without detailed instructions.

I use a permanent marker to darken the lines (make double sure it is dry and won't rub off on your quilt!), then put under and trace with whatever you usually mark with. I use a 2H pencil from the art department - washes out fine. I have a glass topped table that subs as a light table, when necessary.
