So I tried to do a quilting pattern on my project this afternoon. The problem I ran into was being able to put the pattern on the surface of the project. I am not skilled enough yet to just freehand it, and I can't draw...so I honestly have no idea where that leaves me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

What is the pattern on? Paper can be pierced with a threadless needle, then colored chalk ounced in. You can also buy tracing paper and sew in place, then pulled off.

The pattern was on my stocking I did this morning. That's why my design looks so weird because Id idn't have a way to transfer on the pattern I really wanted. I'll try the chalk method, that might work. thanks.
