Just a thought , but what about doing another rectangle inside the rectangle ?

Or maybe do other shapes , circles, squares, triangles . you have the room to get creative  Have fun

If you have it - I would stitch the baby's name and date of birth somewhere.

I thought the same thing, but my granddaughter wants the name to be a surprise to her family. I always liked guessing whether it will be a boy or girl and knowing the name.

I saw your note that you're moving to Texas. Can't say as I blame you. Where in Texas?

Here are a couple of pics taken with my digital camera in my sewing room with just the overhead light.
I would do the wavy lines to break of the straight lines

My DH got transferred to the Houston area. We're looking in Tomball, Cypress, Spring, and Katy. Dropped my price 20K last week - only spurred two new lookers though. Both liked it - both working on finances. Hopefully an offer this next week. Praying - praying - praying. He's already working there two weeks then here one. We have to put our son in school here then move him - I don't want to do that to him - but it's looking like we may have to.

I agree that something fluid and curvy would look great and becoming.

Another idea . .. if you wanted you could do outlines of various items for your quilting in the rectangles. Like an apple or a house or animals ... that list is endless.
