I just thought of another one - SURGE PROTECTOR! At the camps/retreats I've been to, these are a necessity to be able to plug all your stuff in (machine, lamp, possibly iron, etc.) Usually not enough plugs are available for every item at every station.

Never mind - I just saw it in the grouped list, but it's not listed in the alphabetical section.

Good to have a check off list. Don't want to forget basics.
Went to a family reunion where a cousin forgot her underwear. We teased her no end. :)

One thing that I would add is to bring yourself some calling cards to easily exchange contact info. No doubt, you wil make some long lasting friends. So either you can design/print out some business card sized cards from your computer yourself, or go to an inexpensive print house to have some printed (for less than $10.00). Have a look at mine that I ordered from Vistaprint.ca I take them with me. I got 250 for about $12 incl. shipping. I keep them as part of my sewing kit and in my purse and I love using them. They're so easy.

I always forget to bring my cell phone charger, even on just a basic trip anywhere. Please add this.

So funny this subject came up. I am going on a quilt retreat this weekend on Cape Cod and one thing we have found handy is a set of 4 bed risers to put under the folding table we use as our cutting table. Just that extra height makes it much easier for cutting.
