Default Quilting suggestions...

I have made this table runner for my mother-in-law's christmas gift. I need some quilting suggestions please! I am not good at free motion quilting so that's out. I thought to stitch in the ditch but then I thought that might be too generic. What do you think?
P.S. don't mind my polka dot socks! (I love wacky socks!)

Beautiful table runner.....what came to my mind is maybe echo quilt in and around the center then stitch in the ditch.

What about the middle as a poinsetta and then curling ribbons and holly leaves in the red and green bands go out from the middle.

Your suggestion sounds perfect! That runner is certainly a beauty!

The curling ribbons and holly leaves sound too complex for someone who is not wanting to do FMQ, though it would be pretty. I agree with the first post, I thought an echo quilt (but inside the center, like 1/4 inch inside the red) and SID on the green/red straight pieces. It is a lovely runner, even if you do just SID it, it will be beautiful!!!

Love the socks!

I love wacky socks too! As for the quilting on your beautiful runner, if you are not comfortable with fmq then do either Stitch in ditch or you could mark straight lines how you would like and just quilt on the marked lines. Any thing you do she will love it!

Very pretty. How about the echo quilting and then down the middle of the stripes?

I think stitch in the ditch is entirely appropriate. The design of the table runner can stand alone. I love it.

Just beautiful; love both the design and the colors. Would you share the pattern with us? Thanks

I think stitch in the ditch. That is what I did on a similar one. It helps it lay flat. It is a lovely runner
