I've found a couple of IPAD apps that I've been using for quilting.
I've got a PDF reader that lets me download tutorials and then read them at my machine. Don't have a laptop or wifi in my sewing area so this works well.

I'm new to FMQ and kept stippling myself into a corner. I have a draw program that I've been practicing with.
This app lets me practice stipple. They say practicing drawing your FMQ design helps. It does!
I also have an app that lets me draw on top of a photo. The example in the app store showed a photo with a mustash added ;-)
what I've done is photograph a block and then doodle some possible quilting patterns. It's limited, but it helps me visualize.
I also have the QuiltFab app, but haven't used it much.
Anyone else use their Ipad for quilting?

I don't have an ipad (I wish!) but I have Quilt Fab and also the Robert Kaufman app on my ipod touch. I can read pdfs on it but it's awfully small...I have a netbook I can use in my sewing room though..

What's the photo one called? Sounds interesting. I have an app that figures yardage, but keep forgetting to use it.

I can't do internet on my ipod touch. It's so small I can't handle it. I hope to get an ipad someday when I can quit spending so much money on fabric, notions and patterns.

I have several on my iTouch.

Block Fab has a library of blocks. You put in the size of your block and it tells how much fabric you need of each color for one block. You can also play with layouts and colors to some extent. Kind of fun for when you need to kill time in a waiting room or something.

Fabric Journal - This one seems to be misnamed to me. It's actually an app for pictures (up to 4) and notes of your projects including size, start and finish dates. And there's a graph to show % completed.

Fabric Stash - This would be a fabulous app if only I'd take the time to use it. You can keep photos and information including manufacturer, line, size, location, cost and project name. It's also searchable by name, color, etc. I haven't actually used this since I need to take pics of all my fabric and import them into the iTouch, then input all the measurements, etc. A big project that I keep putting off. It would probably work better with an iPhone so you could take pics directly. But it would be handy to have all your stash with you when you're shopping.

I just downloaded iQuilt but haven't yet figured out how to use it. Seems like it's similar to those fabric calculators. I know this will be handy once I figure it out

I suppose you could search their apps store just like the iPhone apps. Type in quilts or quilting and see what you get. Might be good to post here for the benefit of others if you find a few.
