Default quilting for warm wishes frame block?

Hi Quilters,
I just finished basting a warm wishes baby quilt and the framed pattern that should emerge is just barely there. The picture shows the gray and white blocks creating a clear "frame" around the focus fabric, but the real life quilt doesn't have quite the same pop. Any suggestions for creating a little bit more pop with the quilting? I will be hand quilting it - moderate density. It is for a little boy - hobbs 80/20 batting/ and mostly flannel back. Thanks in advance -

It is cute ! I don't think you need to emphasize the background as it lets the focus fabric shine.

I just quilted a double size one with an all over daisy and loop pattern. It was done on the machine though.

Love the Owls in the focus fabric. Just straight lines each side of the seams. Quick and easy. Or mortar board and glasses to fit the quilt of knowledge.

I would quilt the background densely and then quilt around the Owls in the focus fabric.

Hi Guys - Thanks for such quick responses - apparently we quilters have little need for sleep. I will be starting the quilting a little later in the day and your opinions and ideas are truly helpful. I am trying a new concept - planning ahead.

I would keep it simple and crosshatch the quilt.

What a cute quilt! I would just quilt something simple and let that focus fabric be the pop. It sure is cute. (....and, not all quilts need to pop.) I always just SITD when make a Warm Wishes pattern.

Going to be one lucky little boy!
