How many of you when watching a television show notice quilts draped in the background? I've been known to pause the TV to quickly sketch or try to sketch the quilt. The last one I noticed was in a commerical...pause....sketch...for some reason I can't tell you what they were advertising but I noticed the quilt.

If you can find it, watch the old Disney movie called So Close To My Heart. It has lots of quilts which are called quivers in the movie. It's a great move that many have never seen.

I love spotting a quilt in a picture or on TV. I try to identify the pattern. Fun stuff.

I recently took part in an on-line course in which three instructors were all on-screen together from their homes. One woman had a quilt hanging behind her and I was so distracted by the quilt I forget much of the material. I wanted to ask her to move over a bit so I could see the quilt. :) Later on, I just had to send her an e-mail and ask about the quilt. She sent me the most wonderful reply about her eccentric aunt who made it.

I've been known to sit, bored, at functions especially in large, fancy ballrooms, and sketch the ceiling design for a later quilt border or pattern. There are ideas all over the place! (and now I've given away my secret of looking like I'm taking notes during those meetings)

The movie "You've Got Mail", has two really cute ones meg ryan's apartment. One in the bedroom and one on the couch, I think. In the living room anyway. You really can't help staring at it when the movie is playing. LoL!

OhHOH!! The movie Pollyanna with Haley Mills, was about making quilts for the charity fair they had. So cute!

I saw one hanging on the wall at a hospital when my dh and I went to visit a church member. The next day we went back and I took my camera and took a picture of it. Then I went home and made a quilt for myself. It was lots of fun.
