PS- I was so busy looking at the QOV website and forgot to mention how *awesome* it is that you're making the quilt for your long time friend!! He is going to be so blessed by your gift! I would be blubbering just thinking about your lifetime of friendship too!!

LOL- That is so very funny- the color will not matter much then! And thank you so much; you made my day!

also, make sure you buy enough matching fabric to make a pillow case. I have one already and still looking for the fabric to make the pillow case. This is their website. They have instructions and also free patterns

Another color combo is maroon, med/lighter blue and a tea beige, a more subtle R W & B.
Better to do something imperfectly, than nothing perfectly.
    Done is better than perfect.

Here's one I did for an Air Force veteran. I ordered some Air Force fabric from e-Quilter to add to my RWB scraps.

Quilt of Valor from Fons and Porter Episode 2006 has Pinwheels Plus you can buy the pattern from their site for 6.95 plus shipping or you can find the pattern for free if anyone happens to have the Love of Quilting May/June 2012 magazine. This is the one that I am looking for.
I don't have that issue, if any one has a copy of that can they PM me. Thanks Nancy

I belong to QoV. Any color can be used. I did some in camouflage colors. But there's also a place in Cincinnati for women with PTSD. They distribute quilts that are not of patriotic design.
