do you put a binding on rag quilts or just rag the outside edges? or does it even matter. i put binding on the one i made for my son but b/c of time constraints now I am afraid i won't be able to get the quilt done plus a binding before xmas.

I just clip the edges and call it done ! LOL

Most that I've seen are ragged on the edges too. Just depends on your preference.

I also sew around the quilt and clip.

i stitch 1/2" around the outside of the quilt and clip it. i have bound a couple because i was asked to ...but usually i just clip

I made one as a baby quilt. Since it would be washed ALOT a put a binding on it and it looked great. Which ever is your preference works :-D

I did one with a binding and it looked pretty. I didn't realize that it could go just clipped.
