    like i said, it was a mistake that ended up raggedy. i used 3" finished sashing to begin with, so i had that much to work with.

    i also used 3 layer of fabric sewn down the center first..made long strips and cut them to size needed. sewed one seam down the center of them. then i clipped them when it was all done. the quilt is in the 5th wheel for the winter,otherwise i could show you a picture of it after it was washed. it turned out real nice,for a goof up!
    i will say that i took it to the laundrymat to wash and dry!

    i did not know anything about sewing/quilting when i made this for the hubby. i used the wrong stablizer on the back, the wrong batting. i stitched around the designs in the center..made them sort of pop out! i was well pleased with that. it is so heavy! good luck!
    and isn't it wonderful to have a place like this to come to to ask for help and ideas! they are all so wonderful here!
