Very pretty. That is a good question but I don't think there is wrong way. I would have done it just like you did.

What a great quilt someone will love to cuddle with it and hopefully realize the love put into it.

Dina,
that is a very pretty cheerful quilt...I think the right way is the way you want it to be!
Cute cat, too

Thanks again, everyone. I haven't started on the purple one yet, other than having the strips cut out. I did use colored pencils and graph yesterday to try to figure out the order I want. I am still undecided though. Once I finish sandwiching the quilt I am on, I will dive into the purple one. My sister has offered to put my colors in her computer ...phooey, I can't recall what the program is called, Q something or other. I will probably take her up on that before I proceed.

What is really neat is that I have "visions of quilts dancing in my head." This is new for me, having more than one quilt idea going at a time. I like it. Maybe I am maturing as a quilter? (I have only been quilting 3 years, not like my expert sis who has been at it 13 years and teaches classes.) It used to scare me to select fabric, and I am starting to enjoy it!!

Thanks again! I have decided to go purple, purple, and white.
