I am doing a SW landscape quilt and I've looked and looked for fabric with a rattlesnake on it, both in LQS and on line. Couldn't find a turtle, either, but was able to make a sufficient one.... but a side-winder or any kind of a rattlesnake is beyond me.

Several months ago I responded to someone who needed a wolf and it made me feel great to be able to help. Made me think that maybe someone out their might have an extra snake around and would like to send it to me. It has to be realistic and between about 1" to 3" (not length but overall size).

Are you wanting the fabric - right? If you cannot find one, depending on how much you want, you might try finding a good pic/clip art and printing it yourself. Good luck and definitely let us see - I am curious!

Oh, I am sooo electronically challenged. There is no way I could do that. And my grandkids live too far away......

Its probably a perfect answer, but I can't wrap my mind around it. Thankyou for responding.

There is a way to do a brazilian embroidery snake, it is coiled up...I found a post with the picture, but it would entail drafting the pattern off, and doing the brazilian stitches...

I know absolutely, without a doubt, NO question that I cannot help you out with this one!!! I don't even have to look or think about it. I cannot do snakes of any kind! (shiver shiver)

I know what you mean though about feeling so happy when you have something that someone needs. Every time I come here I hope that I can have just the right thing for someone. One "In Search Of" book, I could not part with but did have a piece of border collie fabric that I was able to part with a third of a yard for someone.

Good luck with your quilt and your search.
