I've been on a roll with re-organizing in my house (which is SEW unlike me!), and recently pulled all my fabric from my shelves in the sewing room that were just piled on top of each other. I hung hanging baskets, and organized by color (at least to the best of my ability!). Still a work in progress, of course. Some of you organizing gurus will probably shriek at my attempt! ha ha...

I am amazed with exactly how much fabric I have, and can't get over that some of it looks totally new to me. I'm finding myself pleasantly saying "WHERE did I get this from???". It's like it's Christmas all over again. ha ha Also finding I have WAY too much muslin (guess I just kept buying it).

This re-organizing is a great way to make me appreciate what's in my stash, plus it kinda gave me a bit of a guilt trip seeing just how much I have. Hopefully the time it is taking to do will enable to make quilting a heck of a lot easier.

I know how you feel. I have so much and every time I try to reorganize I find lots of treasures.

That looks great!!!!!!!! I can tell you that you will enjoy it. I just did the same thing and now I love my stuff again instead of dreading what was in that room!

Every time I start going through mine I find fabric I have forgotten I had. Lovely to find.

I'm thinking that I need to reorganize my stash. I have such a small space and what I have now isn't working out very well.

I know what your saying, it is great like finding a treasure, I found a piece of material , for a quilt I started. I went to every store here and the next town for 2 weeks and could not find. A month later in cleaning my sewing room and material. Happy dance. I found the material.
