Any advice on using magnetic closure on Quilted Tote?

It is a surprise gift for a "frequent flier" relative, so being "airline illiterate", I wonder if that (the magnet) would set off any alarm when it goes through that scanner thing? Thanks, Pauline

No, it won't cause a problem, it goes thru all by itself.

This struck me funny, as a nurse we call patients who are at the hospital all the time frequent flyer, I had to stop and think a minute lol. (No disrespect to anyone who is frequently ill I am talking obnoxious, drug seeking individuals that come into ED aomost daily and manage to get admitted a few times a month .)
