I know a lot of you have made the snap happy little purses. I made one tonight, used a tut from this board and it came out great. I was wondering is there something different I could do so that it would snap tighter so that change would not wall out? It makes a cute change purse!

Thanks, Kathy

Yes! You can turn the metal tape measure pieces )( instead of (). Big difference! Sometimes takes quite a pull on the tabs, though so make sure they are sewn in tight!

Did you use 1" metal tape? Also make it smaller.

I have been to various dollar stores looking for the 1" measuring tapes and have not been able to find them. The 3/4" is readily available, but I wanted to use the 1" for a tote bag using the same snap bag pattern only larger. Have you found the wider size at a reasonable price and if so can you tell me where?
