Second to quilting is my love of reading. Recently while working with a child who needed a friend, we visited the children's section of our local library. We found a wonderful book THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT by Jeff Brumbeau. The colorful illustrations are beautiful and the theme of the story is a wonderful message about sharing and caring. I suggest this as a wonderful gift for a child.

there are also 2 companion books- quilts from the "quilt makers gift"
with patterns for all 39 blocks featured in the story-
my granddaughter recieved that book for a christmas gift 7 or 8 years ago and fell in love- we had to find the patterns too!
wonderful story- wonderful quilts- great activity to share with a child!
