I have been without heat for a week. Got it fixed this morning for only $460. Yipes, think of the quilt fabric, notions or machine longarm quilting I could have had for that much money. We had the coldest weather in 25 years last week and I have just kept under the covers. Now I am warm and ready to get to a mental health quilting project. i love fabric, sewing blocks, and quilting friends!

I'm so glad you're safe and warm and hopefully, thawed out! Thank goodness you're a quilter! How many layers did you pile on?

Funny thing is, I have no quilts for myself. I have been quilting since Feb 1988 and give everything I make away. Did have a couple of space heaters. But I am in heavenly warmth now

Went through that once. Had a huge ice storm and ended with no electric and no heat. We did have gas logs in the fireplace, so we bundled up and sat close to those. Heated coff, tea, and soup over the logs. Used candles for light and went to bed early. Amazing what you can manage without, but 10 days was long enough!!LOL

Glad you've got the heat back on - even if it was for $460! Now, get to quilting woman! LOL
