Yes, congratulations. I am SO glad that I decided to get the Horizon. Had my instruction class last Friday and am amazed at all of the things that I can do now. A few of the things could have been done on my Elna but I never bothered taking the class...and didn't attempt to try them on my own. I LOVE the applique stitch and will be using it for sure. Plus all of the little pictures and alphabet will be fun to incorporate into projects too. Instructor told me how to use the automatic needle threader and it worked perfect...there. Tried it at home here and couldn't do it so did it by hand...but I WILL practice doing it. And...I LOVE the thread cutter. What a great idea...after years of grabbing the scissors to cut the threads. I am now getting STRAIGHT seams with the 1/4" foot. I know there are more things that I love but will stop now. LOL I am sure you are going to be glad you got it...and that's a great hubby for buying it for your birthday. My Elna...hubby bought for me for Christmas in 1999 and it still works great. I promised it to my grandaughter so she will be here on Sunday and I'm going to make sure she wants it before I clean it and gather all of the parts, needles and bobbins for her.
