I have FQ's of the State Flower line of fabrics - have had them for years, and I just can't seem to find an appropriate pattern to use them. Since I will be making 50 blocks, I would probably want to keep the block size to 6-8". The only other fabric I want to use is a white on white, and possibly a green floral. I do have 2 FQ's of some of the flowers - the ones that are assigned to more than 2 states.

I have been so inspired to start using up all my fabrics since I joined this forum....I look at your pictures, comments and questions every day. You all motivate me :-)

I do machine applique- not by hand, and am very experienced at PP (my avatar, for example), and of course, regular block piecing.

Please share your thoughts and ideas. THANK YOU :!:

Would it be possible to applique the states in the flower fabric?

i.e. the shape of florida in orange blossom fabric

put them all on a white fabric and sash in your green floral?

How about a square of the flower surrounded by the wow & green floral in strips like little log cabin squares?
