I also quilt for fun and relaxation. If I am lucky enough to get a few bucks back for my time, great. If not, that's ok too. I have a couple of projects that I've agreed to do...they buy the materials needed and I will charge a very minimal amount for my time. If I charged like I'm suppose to for my time, they wouldn't be able to afford me. I also give things away as gifts.

All of the above. But it also goes much deeper than that for me. I NEED to quilt. Its a creative outlet and a way for me to be an artist with fabric. If I can get through a quarter of the ideas that roll around in my head I will be a happy girl. The chaos of the world fades away when I get to loose myself in what I'm creating at the moment. My family has learned to make me stop and eat at times because I will forget. There is total and complete joy in what I have chosen to spend my time doing and I feel very lucky and truly blessed to have Quilting in my life. It is a connection to the past...all my gram's quilted and did it without all the fanciness we have today..and its a bridge to the future as I learn new things all the time and pass my quilts and creations on to my kids and friends. There is a lot of ME in everything I do and while they are never perfect ~ its always done with as much love as I can possibly put in it. ~Speech over. =)

Oh, my! For fun, mostly. It is such a relaxing hobby. I make quilts for family, for friends, and for our beds. I make purses, runners, wall-hangings. I like to enter things in our little county fair, and have won many ribbons, some earned, some not. I wouldn't know how to sell things i quilt, but I like to donate them, to missionaries, for raffles or the local Hospice. I have even made small quilted beds for the local Humane society for the animals. I am trying to use up my stash before I go! My favorite pattern is the Log Cabin, but I enjoy new patterns.

It is a stress reliever sometimes. I mostly am learing because I want to leave something for my grandchildren to enjoy for years to come and so they remember a grandma who adored them. Besides my husband wants me to do something with all the fabric I have.
