Rectangular Log Cabin Placemat Pattern
I have seen a rectangular Log Cabin Placemat, it was just one block built to end up in a placemat sized log cabin
block. I have been searching for the pattern but haven't found one. Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for this, I have tried to make a pattern myself but for the life of me I can't get it to come out right...Any help locating this pattern would be appreciated.

I have seen pictures of one when I was searching for ideas for making charity placmats on Google. I would just start with the dimensions you want your placemat to be and start counting 1 inch increments to see the size of the center strip. The one I saw was built on a center long strip. Good Luck.

A good size for a placemat is 13 x 19. You could use any pattern you want that would result in a 13 in square block then add extra strips at each side to add an extra 3 inches to two sides to extend them to a width of 19 inches.

Here is a mat I worked out in EQ5. the mat is 13x19 and the center rectangle is cut at 7.5x1.5 . all of the other strips are 1.5 finished, so 2.0 cut.
