Default Red, white, and blue Trip around the World???

I came home from our guild meeting last night all excited about making a Quilt of Valor, as our guild plans on making a bunch of them to display at our next quilt show and then to donate. I would sort of like to make a red, white, and blue Trip Around the World, but I sure can't visualize it. Does this sound like an idea that might look good? Guess it is time to get my graph paper out and make myself a visual....

I think it sounds beautiful also..there are so many fabrics that have the three colors in it that the blending from colr to color would be pretty.

I would look at Google to see what others have done for QOV quilts:
https://www.google.com/search?q=patr...ih=614#imgrc=_
STUNNING Hunter Star done in Red, White and Blue.

I know the leader of the local chapter where I live and you can actually make any color of quilt.

Thanks, Joellyn, this helps too. I realize they don't have to be red, white, and blue....but I think that is what I want to do. I've not worked with those 3 colors together before. I am looking forward to this.
