A lady posted pictures of her redwork Christmas quilt that she did all the redwork embroidery while commuting by train to work last year. She used a melody of Christmas fabric that she got from Keepsake Quilting to tie her blocks together.

I have looked everywhere and can't find her post. I am trying to track down the pattern name.

Thank you for any help you can give me in my search.

I found the pattern last night on the Crabapple Hill Website. It is called "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The pattern is available for $25.00

Are you talking about the quilt that has snow people in the middle (all different size blocks of redwork) with pieced blocks as the borders? Check out this quilt. The top embroidered piece says 'walking in a winter wonderland'. It is a pattern by CrabTree Hill I think.

Also, a little hint (if you didn't know this already) is that when you're doing any kind of embroidery, use a piece of muslin on the back of the square to be embroidered. It hides any loose threads so they don't bleed through. I also did not use 'red' thread. It was dark coral - DMC 349 - which shows up red when done. Happy hunting.

That's a good tip, the muslin in the back. I'll have to remember that!
