As of pipsquek:

Average age of respondents is 55!

Over 600 people responded. Not all of you gave your age and some where duplicate post. Some replied to others post.

The youngest was adorabowe at 20 and the oldest is Betty Boop's mom at 90. Fern Anderson was next at 85.

There were 9 under 20 that various people included in their reply.

Breakdown by age:

20's 9
30's 24
40's 80
50's 186
60's 185
70's 90
80's 12
90's 1

susanpillsbury thanks for the chuckle.

That was fun! I will do another pole next week! I will ask at what age did you start quilting. Would love to see how long/short those of you have been quilting.

Thanks to all those who wanted to help knock some sense into my man. 22 years married and I can handle him. I was just curious myself about the age. Love to all!

I went to quilt with the ladies at church Monday. The oldest quilter there was 94. They make lap robes for nursing home and small blankets for children.

What's more amazing is that so many "older" ladies are reading the internet forums. Wow.

I am a young 49, and It saddens Me when I run into
so many ladies in their 70's saying they always wanted
to learn to quilt, just wish one wouldn't wait so long.
Just wanted to get that off my chest !
