Spending the whole day sewing. LQS sponsoring a retreat at the local Holiday Inn. Started at 3 yesterday. I had all the pieces cut for 2 purses and some small treat bags. Almost finished one of the purses and made 4 small treat bags yesterday. Forgot the D rings for the purse straps so have to run out to Joann's this AM. Will spend the day today (until 5) making another bag and then have a jelly roll to work with.
What great fun. Sewed till 10 last night then off to bed. Up at 5:30 this AM ready to go. All meals served, no dishes, no cleaning= perfect world.

Sounds fabulous! I'd like to go to one in the fall to work on those Christmas gifts, but haven't found one in NY yet... But I can look forward to the one in March.

Have a great day sewing; I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of your projects.

Nothing more fun than a good retreat. Good times, good food and always a lot of laughs. Enjoy.

Sounds heavenly! I always enjoyed retreats - before I got the dogs. Now I can't enjoy them because I have to tend to the critters. Someday, i will be back at them.

Peaceandjoy- I don't know where you are in the Finger Lakes but The Scarlet Thread quilt shop in Webster has a Spring and Fall retreat (that is the one I was at this weekend).

These are the projects I finished this weekend. I had the bags cut out before hand.

Wow - small world. I've never heard of them! Checked their web page - it looks like the retreat is just the sewing part, you don't stay over?
