Has anybody ever used rick rack on a tote bag? Is it possible? The lady I'm making Bow Tucks for bought some just in case I could use it dress up the pattern. Can it be used?

I designed a pattern last year - and used rick rack around the top edging - I find that it set it off just right...I love working with notions and blending them with my projects...

there are three (basic) ways to attach rickrack--
some people stitch straight down the center...
some people catch the tip of each upper bend.
some times half is caught in a seam and only half shows.
just depends on your project, your likes/dislikes and how much work you want to do.
when stitched down the center the (tips) can curl at times.
when stitching each tip it can be more time consuming-but no curling possilbe.
when putting in seams probably the easiest application

Rick rack has been around for years, but I guess not on quilts.

Retro...reminds me of the 50's...used a lot then. Really perks something up.
