Does any one know what is the right way to knot your thread when you start and stop, When hand quilting?

    Thank you, Lori

let's see if i can describe this.
thread your needle, hold needle with right finger and thumb parallel to the floor and with the point to the left. bring the tail of the thread up and lay it parallel to the needle with the end of the thread pointing toward the eye of the needle. hold needle and thread in right hand and wrap thread around needle point 3 times. then, holding the wrapped needle in the right hand, push the needle thru the wraps and continue to hold the knot that has been formed til you pull the needle and thread all the way thru. this should give you a perfect knot every time. it takes a lot less time to do it than to type it:)
    hope that makes sense
