Became more sensitive after chemo. Can't use cutter with something you have to hold closed all the time. Looks like Olfa deluxe works like this. Any fab ideas?

There are some rotary cutters that you can lock in the cut position. I believe Fiskars makes one. Some of the Olfa cutters also can be locked in place for cutting then unlocked and moved back to the non-cuttting mode.

You might want to consider the Martelli cutter also. This is designed to be ergonomically correct for the wrist, so the entire position of the hand is different than for other cutters. It takes some getting used to, but can work better for you because of the different hand position. Google Martelli cutter to find their website. They have videos that demonstrate using the cutter.

Have you checked out the Martelli rotary cutter? You hold it differently than most so it might not cause the problem. I love mine when I have a lot of cutting to do. It doesn't stress out my hand & shoulder the way my Olfa ones do.

you might ask at your LQS if anyone would cut for you. you purchase the fabric ( maybe a little extra for the cutter!! ) and give them the directions for the sizes of strips or squares you need for your project. that way, someone else would be cutting the bulk of your fabric, leaving you the smaller cuts at home. just an idea that might work for you and others....you could get a group together at your LQS and maybe watch the cutters kids while they cut for you
