I wasn't actually completely sure what I was going to do with Cordelias. I had a friend stop by and she wanted to see what I was working on. Asked her WHICH ONE? lol
She saw the square from Cordelia and asked me about it. After checking out what I had, she gave me the answer I was looking for!
Guess I needed a new pair of eyes

It's great when there's a "fresh" set looking at it.
I didn't even think of doing what she suggested.

As you can see, I just used bleached muslin and wonder under for the applique with a little bit done by hand. Nothing specail went in to it. The placemnet of the "star" flowers gave me fits--they needed to be in about the sme spot on each side. One idea would be to do meandering stems and random flowers, but anything will be fine.
I know how you feel though. I agonized forever over Tricia's. I couldn't decide what to do and changed my mind every 30 seconds.
I am still not sure that I made the right choice, but hubby says it pops. Coming from him, I'd say that's pretty good. Usually all I get is uh huh when I ask him for an opinion.    But he even threw the word Wow when I showed it to him--I had all the pieces laid out on the bed in the sewing room and called him in for a look see. I hope to finish the piecing next weekend.
I'll get some pictures then.

Cordelia - I have no idea what the size is. Sorry, I never even thought to measure. One of the problems I had was the center is 16 squares one way and 18 squares the other, so the center is a little oblong and not square. Anyway, you just have to plan on something that is not the exact same on all 4 sides. That was my biggest challenge!

I enjoyed the challenge and really had to use my brain cells to figure out what to do. I changed my mind several times, then just got an idea into my head and winged it. I had problems with the corners and ripped them out 3 or 4 times, then went with the plain kona snow. I think that turned out the best looking and was pleased with the final look.

Dawn - I am glad you like it. :D  :D I do too!!!

To everyone else - you are my biggest fans! hahaha Thanks for being so kind. So far, every block on this site is wonderful and brings on new inspiration!

Ok, I've got the 1st part of Cordelia's done, now just need to finish up the 2d part of it.
Just playing with the blocks I have, turning them round and round to see which way I like the best.
Hubby walked in and says...Oh Honey! That square is beautiful! Are you making more to finish a BIG quilt? lol
Had to tell him that I didn't make it and it was going to go in the mail once I finish my part of it. He hung his head and walked out of the room.
I think he really likes it! Ya think?
