Round Robins-I can never catch one.
Hi, All! I have always wanted to try joining one of these. But I always seem to miss them when they are starting out. Are they amazing fun? Do you get nervous about doing something wrong on each person's quilt? I bet the friendships formed last forever! Can you tell I'm missing my quilting friends from our latest base move? Just asking questions and wishing for something new. Thanks for reading!
Happy Quilting,
Tanya

If you are looking for other quilters in your area, check out other board members in Germany. You can search by location:
Click on member list near the top of this screen.
Click on "search members" (under the ...w-x-y-z), and select "Advanced Search"
Type in the location you are interested in and a list of board members will come up. You may have to spend a few minutes to see who is currently active, but if anyone is in your area, you can send them a PM and see if they would be interested in starting a round robin or other type of swap.

Is there an FRG in your area? Maybe someone there can help you locate other quilters.
Does Heidelberg have a quilt shop; surely Americans patronize it so maybe they could help up a RR with you.
Good luck! I enjoyed every minute of my military connected life in Kasiserslautern and Frankfurt many, many years ago. Things have changed there SO much since then!

Thanks for all of the advice, ladies! I think that I just get so excited seeing the pictures of each new robin's participants. The Heidelberg base is now closed, Jan. That is where I'd get together with my other quilts friends. They've all moved to stateside bases or retired, etc. I'm still trying to seek out quilters where I live now. But I will try your advice and see what I come up with. Thank you!!

When I was in the Air Force there were 3 active duty and one civilian lady in the Squadron that quilted. We just got together here and there for an afternoon of quilting. Fun times I'll never forget! I don't know what a round robin is, but I hope you find what you're looking for!
