Sometime ago there was a topic of someone having problems with her machine taking a few extra stitches after she took her foot off the pedal. Now mine is doing it too. Was anything figured out on this?

I was one of the ones having trouble. My machine kept sewing at high speeds when I took my foot off the pedal. It was scary! They replaced the foot and I've had no other problems. Good luck. Watch those fingers!
I had that happen to me once, the foot pedal was stuck. It has been replaced now. :lol:
