Default Russian Quilt Patterns

Help! I'm looking for traditional Russian quilt patterns. I've been surfing the net for 3 days now and can't seem to find anything that fits my skill level. The Russian quilts I've seen are BEAUTIFUL but very, very intricate & complicated. They certainly have taken quilting to an art form!

I have recently purchased Moda's line "Russian Tradition" and I want an authentic Russian pattern to use.

Appreciate any input...THANKS!

Welcome to the forum! As others have mentioned Roolen is a member here on the forum and she does have a blog in Russian. http://roolen.blogspot.ca/ But just do a search for her here under members and you can see all her postings, or click on her name & you can send her a private message. Look forward to seeing the pattern you choose & also would love to see pictures of the fabrics you bought.

Thanks everyone! And hi, Roolen - nice to meet you. How BEAUTIFUL this is!!!! I shall go to your blogspot immediately and take a look. Thank you for sharing your work!

Here's a link to the Moda fabric swatches for "Russian Tradition". I think it is gorgeous!!! It was a single run and is getting very scarce but I've been able to find 3 layer cakes and a jelly roll.

My son is working in Ukraine and will be there for quit some time. I thought this fabric along with a traditional Russian pattern would be an excellent choice for his quilt. So I appreciate everyone's help!

If you go on Moda's website, you will find 11 different fabrics in the Russian Tradition line..........that should provide enough variety and yardage for you to complete your quilt...........

I had included a link to the Moda Russian Tradition line in my post - guess the BB didn't like it. Either that or I just don't what I'm doing (which is probably more accurate!)
