A non-quilting friend told me today of an idea she saw in a magazine for organizing scraps of fabric.

They used one of those shoe bags that hangs in the closet, with clear vinyl plastic pockets for each shoe.

Put the scraps according to color, print - whatever in each of the pockets so you can see them. Hang the darn thing in the closet.

Will have to try that.

I use the clear vinyl shoe holders with divided pockets that store under the bed.

This post just reminded me..I have some stash under the guest room bed. "Thanks"

there is no way my scraps would fit in shoe bag like that. I use those 3 drawer plastic units on wheels

The over the door shoe organizer is a good idea. I use one in my sewing room to store my misc. things like basting spray, golden threads paper, stablizers, rotary cutter and blades, etc. Very handy!
