Your Lone Star Quilt is fantastic, you did a nice job coordinating your "scrap" fabrics to make a beautiful quilt. I do like the dark grey background, gives the star some bling. I have had no experience on an antique sewing machine, however, it seems to be in excellent shape. I might go with a blue or green for the binding, just my opinion, just pick a color out of the star and it will look great.

The sewing machine looks prior to 1950... my mother's was a 1950 model... very simple to maintain... very lightweight, BUT very reliable... still runs to this day... very good for scrappy and pieced quilts... If you can, get it serviced and see what they tell you... I AM SURE IT WILL DO FINE!!! GOD BLESS

Grey fabric looks great. I don't know about a red border... I think I would pick up one of the colors in the star. Antique machines are awesome. Usually, a better stitch and less problems that the new ones
